CGWIC Successfully Launches the GISTDA Cube Sat 1 by LM-6C Launch Vehicle

At 11:21, August 25th, 2026 BJT, Long March 6C (LM-6C) Launch Vehicle blasted off from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center (TSLC), successfully sending 7 satellites into the predetermined orbit.

Among the abovementioned satellites, GISTDA Cube Sat 1 is contracted by China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC), a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) as the launch services provider.

GISTDA Cube Sat 1 is a satellite jointly developed through the collaboration between GEO-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) and Galaxy Space (Beijing) Technology Group Co., Ltd. The end-user of the satellite is GISTDA.

LM-6C Launch Vehicle is a two-stage launch vehicle developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST), also subordinated to CASC. It is a new-generation non-toxic and pollution-free liquid-propellant launch vehicle. The designed capacity of LM-6C is 2400kg for 500km sun synchronous orbit. This mission is the 2nd launch of LM-6C.

CGWIC is a commercial organization authorized by the Chinese government to provide commercial launch services, satellite systems and to carry out space technology cooperation. Under the guidance of CASC, CGWIC provides international and domestic customers with rapid, stable, and reliable "one-stop" quality services.

Since Long March launch vehicles successfully entered the international market in 1990s, CGWIC has completed 112 commercial launch missions for 79 international satellites and 353 domestic satellites. In addition, CGWIC has conducted 53 rideshare missions sending 30 international payloads and 127 domestic payloads into orbits.

This launch marks the 665th flight of the Long March fleet.
