At 19:59, May 12th, 2026 BJT, Long March 6A (LM-6A) Launch Vehicle blasted off from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center (TSLC), successfully sending the eighth 18 satellites of Spacesail Constellation into the predetermined orbit.

The launch services for the abovementioned satellites of Spacesail Constellation are prime-contracted by China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC), a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). This is the eighth launch performed by CGWIC for Spacesail Constellation, following the deployment of the seventh batch of Spacesail satellites in April of 2026.
These 18 satellites are designed and manufactured by Shanghai Engineering Center for Microsatellites. Spacesail Constellation, being constructed and operated by Shanghai Spacesail Technologies Co., Ltd., provides global users with low-latency, high-speed and ultra-reliable satellite broadband internet services.
LM-6A Launch Vehicle is a new generation of Chinese medium launcher with a configuration of liquid core stages and four solid strap-on boosters, developed by Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST), also subordinated to CASC. The designed capacity of LM-6A is not less than 6500kg for 500km sun synchronous orbit. This mission is the 23rd launch of LM-6A.
CGWIC is a commercial organization authorized by the Chinese government to provide commercial launch services, satellite systems and to carry out space technology cooperation. Under the guidance of CASC, CGWIC provides international and domestic customers with rapid, stable, and reliable "one-stop" quality services.
Since Long March launch vehicles successfully entered the international market in 1990s, CGWIC has completed 109 commercial launch missions for 78 international satellites and 317 domestic satellites. In addition, CGWIC has conducted 52 rideshare missions sending 29 international payloads and 127 domestic payloads into orbits.
This launch marks the 642nd flight of the Long March fleet.
